Vertigo

A set of concentric rectangles of different sizes and shapes each containing one keyboardless grand piano, swirl to the center of the surface. Four strategically placed keyboards provide an alternate focus for the eye, a counterbalance that allows the entire image to be simultaneously static and active.

This piece inspired two follow ups entitled “14 grands”.
