Soundfield

A soundfield is a sustained musical atmosphere without a discernible melody or rhythm.

There is no central image here, only a sustained field comprised of an irregular pattern of multiple sized colored rectangles with  quarter notes evenly dispersed on the canvas.  This piece is painted over a found canvas; an complete painting exists below my image, informing the surface with unusual shadings and three dimensional texturing.
