Music Avenue

One of a series of pieces that drew its inspiration from the work and techniques of American painter Stuart Davis, this piece re-imagines a city skyline as one octave of a keyboard.

The blue sky spaces between the buildings are presented in the 2+3 formation of a keyboard’s black keys, the white notes represented by the buildings.
