In the Key Of Klee #1

Paul Klee pioneered this style of adjacent multiple bars of muted colors.

Once I added the sequences of a keyboard’s black keys to the arrangement of color bars, three different images appeared to me… one of a jagged, almost indiscernable  keyboard, another of a big city skyline, another of a crowd.

A larger version of this piece was created soon after.
