Three Violins

Every once in a while, we creators stumble upon revelations by accident, as happened to me with this piece.  A life long fan of Cubism, I had my first insights into this incredible form while filling in rectangle at the centre of the canvas.

The burgundy and magenta violins share the same fingerboard, the triangles at the edges of the two magenta violins are in similar formation. Extending the angles of the magenta violins determined the directions for the blue, green yellow and red rectangles in the centre box.
